About The Course
The disruption in global logistics and international trades had brought shipping industry close to a halt; with many vessels ranging from containers, bulk carriers to Ro-ro forced into lay-up. While market and demand recovery continue to remain uncertain, vessel owners face various financial, operational considerations in selecting and carrying out options best suited to their fleet.
This live-online masterclass aims at helping shipowners and operators make the most cost-effective decisions for their vessel and fleet – whether it be lay-up or scrapping, container or tanker. Attendees will gain a refresher on strategic, regulatory, technical and operational issues associated with hot, cold lay-up; as well as the costs associated. Through examining real-world case studies, you will also acquire practical strategies such as lay-up location, finance, class, maintenance, legal & insurance considerations, crewing and re-activation.
